We believe architecture begins with observation.
03 / STUDIO

S+A Design Studio is an architecture and design practice based in Vijayapura, Karnataka, founded and led by Ar. Suraj Shinde and Ar. Gajanan Aigali — exploring architecture, interior architecture, landscape and design through context, material and human experience.

We observe.

  • Site
  • Climate
  • Light
  • People
  • Context

We question.

  • Form
  • Function
  • Material
  • Movement

We design.

Spaces that respond to people, place and time.

04 / PHILOSOPHY
Raking daylight cutting across a concrete interior wall
Light.

Natural light is not decoration. It is part of the architecture.

Concrete, stone and timber meeting at an architectural corner
Material.

Materials give architecture its weight, character and memory.

Courtyard interior with reflecting pool, tree and glass wall
Space.

Architecture is experienced through movement, proportion and pause.

Concrete house set into a hillside landscape at sunset
Context.

Every building begins with a place.

We don't just design buildings.
We design experiences of space.
05 / MATERIAL

Concrete, stone, wood, glass — the language we build with.

Monolithic concrete surface with raking daylight
Concrete
Weight / Texture / Silence
Natural stone wall, close architectural detail
Stone
Ground / Craft / Time
Warm timber panel with dappled daylight
Wood
Warmth / Grain / Touch
Architectural glass facade with sky and tree reflections
